Ellesandra C Noye

Ellesandra Noye is a PhD student at the University of Queensland, Australia, under the guidance of Dr. Kirsty Short. She recently graduated from a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Hons Class I). Her research focuses on trained immunity as a mechanistic link between transient life events and disease – in particular, development of innate immunity following obesity and consequences on influenza infection outcomes. She has also collaborated on a project with Prof. David Burgner and Dr. Siroon Bekkering (MCRI and Radboundmuc), investigating innate immunity following prenatal and postnatal inflammation and consequences on atherosclerosis development.
